Willis Clinton Baker, Sr.

Willis Clinton Baker, Sr. age 80, of White Hall passed away on February 6, 2023. He was born July 6, 1942 in Dumas, AR to the late Roy Hix Baker and Leta Lewis Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Mr. Baker was the former owner of Armor Locksmith Shop, he also attended Natchitoches Tech for HVAC, he worked maintenance for County Market, Reddy Ice and Sheridan Nursing Home. He had a passion for fixing machines, and he loved his dachshunds. He was a member of Oakland Heights Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Laurie F. Baker, his daughters, Judy Rene’ Carter, Susan M. Sanders, his sons, Willis Clinton Baker, Jr. and his wife Tracye, Michael Hightower, Stephen Hightower; brother, Jerry Baker; sister, Creva "Bunny" Culpepper;  grandchildren, Mason P. Sanders, Erin E. Carter, Travis Carter, Levi C. Baker, Annsley G. Baker, Sean Hightower, Claire Hightower, Ken Sanders and his wife Ashley, and Christopher Sanders and his wife Jessica, great-grandchildren, Luke and Elijah Sanders, Corey Sanders, Madisyn Sanders and Austin Sanders.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Jim Baker officiating. The family will be at Oakland Heights Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
