Mrs. Willie B. Rainey, age 59, of Rison went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 10, 2014. She was born February 12, 1954 in New Edinburg, a daughter of the late Elvin Broughton and Christian Clary Lockett. Mrs. Rainey was a chef and a nanny. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gwendlying Faye Jackson; and a brother, Major Broughton. She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, William Ray Broughton of Ina, Illinois; four daughters, Maria Johnson of Fordyce, Tammy Marks and husband, Curtis of Rison, Lanesase Simpson of Chicago, Illinois, and LaTrice James and husband, Gergory Sr. of Janesville, Wisconsin; adopted daughters, Patricia Ballard and Coretta Smith; one brother, Kenneth Broughton of Monard, Illinois; five sisters, Laura Rainey of Kingsland, Ceola Warner of New Edinburg, Reola Broughton of New Edinburg, Joyce Broughton of Hot Springs, and Blanche Pass of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Giovanni, Reynardo, Chassidie, Malachi, E'Ryja Marks all of Rison, Markeea Wainwright of Fordyce, Greg and Joshua James of Wisconsin, Robert and Monet Simpson both of Chicago, Illinois; adopted grandchildren, Dionte Langford and Jamecia Langford; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Reverend Bobby Young officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are William Broughton, Giovanni Marks, Reynardo Marks, Malachi Marks, Gergory James Jr., Joshua James, and Dionte Langford.
