Willie Von Pierce Reed Morgan, age 90, of Rison, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Morgan was born September 7, 1924 in Grapevine, a daughter of the late Harvey C. and Mattie Mae "Macie" Johnson Pierce. She attended schools in Grapevine and Pine Bluff. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Rison Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday school for twenty-eight years and was a member of the church choir for many years. She was the retired owner of Reed's Dry Good Store. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleve W. Reed, Sr. and Huey Morgan; three sisters, Nona Shoptaw Huntley, Eva Jane Lee, and Patsy Lindsey; brother, Harvey C. Pierce, Jr. She is survived her son, Cleve W. (Phyllis) Reed Jr. of Rison; daughters, Marilyn (Elwin) Reed Ollar of Searcy, Deb (Shayne) Reed Crawford of El Dorado; sister, Rena Mae Triplett of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Rhonda (Kelley) Hoover Holt, Rodney (Kim) Reed, Ryan (Diana) Reed, all of Rison, Amy (Paul) Hoover Russell of Kemah, Texas, Cody (Joni) Crawford of Fayetteville, Chase Crawford of Hot Springs; step-grandchildren, Angela Ollar of Frisco, Texas, Amber (Chris) Ollar Seroka of Argyle, Texas, Michael (Casey) Ollar of Malvern; nephew, Aubrey Reed of Rison; fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Danny Allen and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Gene Herring, Vernon Dollar, Rickey Fore, Bill McKnight, Billy Knowles, Roth Rabb, Hershel Garner, Johnny Miller; honorary pallbearers are David Davis, Joe Rauls, Jack Winston, Buddy Allison, Mack Bell, Gary Goolsby, Tommy Butcher, Allen Wilson and Jimmy Bowlin. The family suggests memorials be made to Rison Baptist Church, Jesus First Building Fund, P. O. Box 404, Rison, Arkansas 71665. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
