Willie Maude Sadler Mays

Willie Maude Sadler Mays, age 95 of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home. She was born July 14, 1915 in Rison, a daughter of the late John L. Sadler and Emma Sinclair Sadler. Mrs. Mays was the owner and operator of Raymond Mays Insurance until her retirement and was a member of Rison United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Mays; son, Raymond S. Mays; two brothers, Craig Sadler and Van Sadler; two sisters, Frances Elrod and Verda Thomasson.

Mrs. Mays is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Norma Mays of Rison; daughter-in-law, Lavonne Mays of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Ray Mays of San Angelo, Texas, Bruce Mays of San Antonio, Texas, and John Mays of Rison; one granddaughter, Rhonda Fletcher of Rison; six great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Rison United Methodist Church with Reverend Glenn Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers will be great nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers.
