William T. "Sonny" Masters

William T. Sonny Masters age 61 of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born October 21, 1945 in Banks, Arkansas, a son of Ethel Carson Masters of Sheridan and the late Buell Herschell Masters. Mr. Masters graduated from Prattsville High School in 1965. He married Julia Mayer on December 12, 1971 in Pine Bluff. Mr. Masters was a machinist for Ben Pearson Manufacturing in Pine Bluff and a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters, Sarah Masters, Claty Masters.

Mr. Masters is survived by his wife, Julia Mayer Masters of Pine Bluff; mother, Ethel Masters of Sheridan; three brothers, Melvin Masters of Longmont, Colorado, Lewis Masters and Rufus Masters, both of Poyen; one sister, Linda Edwards of Poyen.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pine Bluff. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.
