William Robert Kendall, age 54, of Hot Springs, formerly Pine Bluff, died, Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born August 19, 1958 in Bakersfield, California, a son of William Edward Kendall and Loreda Rainwater Kendall. Mr. Kendall was a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department and was currently employed with the Oaklawn Race Track. He enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his family. Mr. Kendall was a member of Sulpher Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Kendall is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Paula Kendall; daughter Heather Kendall Straughn; parents, William Edward and Loreda Rainwater Kendall, all of Pine Bluff; four brothers, Mack Kendall of Alvin, Texas, Everett Kendall, Dennis Kendall and Dean Kendall, all of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Tammaria Straughn, Carter Straughn and Meaghan Straughn; special friend, Rebecca Hall of Hot Springs. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Brother Billy West officiating. Burial will follow in Moore's Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Chris Penny, Johnny Brown, Ronnie Womack, Jimmy Doss, Kelly Slater and David Hutchinson.
