William H. Housley

William H. Housley, age 93, of Mt. Ida, Arkansas formerly of Sheridan passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. Mr. Housley was born September 3, 1919 in Plainview, Arkansas to the late William J. Housley and Jose (Reed) Housley. He attended Sheridan Public Schools and later served in the United States Navy during WWII on a supply ship in the southern pacific. Mr. Housley enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He truly enjoyed and loved life. Mr. Housley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian Irene (Weaver) Housley; two sons, Billy F. Housley and Ronald Eugene Housley and one brother, Frank Housley. Mr. Housley is survived by one daughter, Patricia Tasse of Mt. Ida; three sisters, Geneva Morehead, Jewell Brown and Wilma Wilson; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and a host of friends. Graveside funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with military honors conducted by Brother Ronald Young under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
