William Edward Dorey

William E. Dorey, age 93, of Sheridan passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born March 9, 1923 in Holly Springs, Arkansas, the son of the late Edward Daniel Dorey and Nellie Puterbaugh. Mr. Dorey was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sheridan. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of sixty-seven years, Leona Hern Dorey.

Left to cherish his memory, his son, Leon Dorey of Gravel Ridge.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Reverend Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Summer Feeding Program, 100 East Church Street, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
