William T. Dub Bell age 87 of Rison, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at the Cleveland County Nursing Home. He was born November 11, 1922 in Rison, a son of the late Alvin and Cora McCullough Bell. Mr. Bell retired in 1982 as a ceramic tile and plaster contractor. He and his family owned and operated Jennies Freeze King for over twenty years. Mr. Bell was a 32 degree mason, member of Culpepper Masonic Lodge number 186 in Rison. He was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Bell was a member of Bethel Number One Missionary Baptist Church and the Mens Sunday school class. He enjoyed sports and was a charter member of the Promised Land Hunting Club. Mr. Bell was also preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Maroney, Lois Martin, Jeffie Hipp, and Effie Bell.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Alene Billings Bell of Rison; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Terry Sipes of Rison; one brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Janette Bell of Rison; one sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Leon Taylor of West Memphis; three granddaughters and spouse, Brooke Sipes Allison and Jason of Rison, Blair Sipes of Dallas, Texas, and Jena Sipes of Russellville.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Bethel Number One Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Tollison, Reverend Wade Totty and Reverend Travis George officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
