William Hal Akins

William Hal Akins, age 83, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on January 9, 2025. He was born in Little Rock on December 23, 1941, to William Hoyt Akins and Charlene Prince Akins. Mr. William Hal Akins was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Vicki Akins Robenson and his son Christopher Halbert Akins. 

He is survived by his son William Hoyt Akins (Lorie) of Benton, AR, and his daughter Tracey Akins Betts (Eddy) of Camden, Arkansas; grandsons Chad Betts (Morgan), Walker Akins (Ashley), and Dustin Pace, granddaughters, Summer Friemel (Jared), Stephanie Tutor (Bobby), along with several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Young, David Witt, Todd Knoedle, David Leslie, Greg Grounds, and Terry Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Walker Akins and Chad Betts. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025, at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Olive Hill Cemetery in Mabelvale with Bro. Roy Polk officiating.
