Terrell Wesley Leopard, 61, of Rison, passed into the arms of Jesus on February 1, 2022 in his home. An avid turkey hunter, and self-proclaimed “best of the best,” it is said that the hills of Mt. Ida will never be the same. He was born September 4, 1960 in Pine Bluff, the son of Betty Leopard and the late Siber Leopard. In his career he worked as a logger before he found his calling as an equipment operator at Jefferson County Road Department where he was employed for 28 years. A true work of heart, he only briefly retired from work before joining the Cleveland County Road Department for four years before finally accepting retirement.
He spent his retirement traveling the country with his one true love, Beverly Brown Leopard; his wife of 41 years. His favorite title was “Pappy” to five grandchildren.
He leaves behind two sons, Rodney (Brittney) of Star City and Rusty (Lauren) of Rison; two grandsons, Alex and Wyatt Wilson of Star City; and three grandaughters, Brooksie, Lucy and Wesleigh Leopard of Rison, to continue the traditions of hunting while creating memories together. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by sisters Terry (Robert) Andrews and Paula Leopard; and a large, loving extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5,2022 at 2 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. A visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
