Weldon "Peck" Golden, age 79, of Kingsland, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his home. He was born October 8, 1934 in Kingsland the son of the late William Leftridge Golden and Dollie Alene Culligan Golden. Mr. Golden was a member of the Quapaw Masonic Lodge in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making jewelry, and playing music with his son and grandson. Mr. Golden was preceded in death by sons, Johnny Golden, Jesse Golden, and Sammy Davis; sister, Mary Francis Cooper; brothers, Wayne Golden and Charles Edward Golden. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolina Golden of Kingsland; sons, Danny Golden of Kingsland, Ben Golden of Colorado, Eddie Abeyta of Kingsland, Paul Abeyta of Kingsland, George Abeyta of Smackover, and William Golden of Kingsland; daughters, Diane Chumley of Virginia, Yolanda Abeyta of Phoenix, Arizona, Mary Ann Ercanbrack of Kingsland, and Juanita Knighten of Kingsland; brothers, James Golden of Rison, Ronald Golden of Vilonia, and John Golden of Pine Bluff; sisters, Jo Ann Reid of New York, Alene Thompson of New Edinburg, Pauline Davis of Kingsland, Cletis Cullins of Rison, Betty Robinson and Judy Hays both of Warren; fifty-four grandchildren and forty-eight great grandchildren. Masonic graveside services are 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Golden-Gum Grove Cemetery in Kingsland. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
