Wanda Necia Jones

Wanda Necia “Necie” Jones, 93, of Conway passed away September 23, 2023. She was born July 12, 1930, in Allen, Oklahoma to the late Clifton and Myrtle (Stout) Yoakum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JC Jones; a son Jimmy Jones; daughter Phyllis Ragan; brothers Frank, Foy, William, Jack, and Jimmy Yoakum; sisters Minnie Pettis and Rose Nan Cook; and a great-granddaughter Avalyn Hull. 

Mrs. Jones worked as a hairdresser in Conway for over thirty years and was a member of the Conway Women’s Bowling League. She loved reading, traveling, visiting museums and parks, going out to the movies, classic country music, and collecting elephant souvenirs. She also enjoyed shopping, eating out, attending family reunions, and watching parades. She was a talented seamstress and a fantastic cook. Her hummingbird cake was legendary. But her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by sons Wyatt Jones (Janie) and Steven Jones and daughter Alicia Jones; grandchildren Jason Jones and Sarah Jones Clifton, Ryan, Mike and Larry Ragan, Tara Wilcox, Justin and Tyler Scalise, Dylan Hull, and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:00p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Crestlawn Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
