Wanda Carolyn Freeman

Wanda Carolyn Freeman, age 74 of Rison, died Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was born January 24, 1940 in Cleveland County the daughter of the late Jim Harris and Mazell Lutrell Harris. Mrs. Freeman retired from the Cleveland County Health Department as an LPN. She enjoyed her family time, crocheting, reading and her pets. Mrs. Freeman was a Baptist and preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Harris Jr. and a sister, Laura Francell Harris. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Freeman of Rison, whom she married February 24, 1959; two sons, Stephen Freeman of Rison, Gregory Freeman and wife Shelly of Dumas; brother, O.W. Harris and wife Ruth, of Crockett, Texas; two sisters, Floy Ferguson and husband, Sonny of Hardin, Juanita Tompkins of Rison; sister in law, Joan Harris of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Juanita Tompkins home. Cremation arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
