Wanda Faye Acklin

Wanda Faye Acklin, age 76, of Rison went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She was born May 25, 1945 in Memphis, TN to the late K.D. Raney and Mary Alice Dunbar Raney. She retired as an LPN after 44 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. David Acklin in 1995. Mrs. Acklin was a talented artist that enjoyed writing poetry, gardening and raising and caring for animals.

She is survived by her son William David Acklin and his wife Teresa, her daughter Mimi Alice McAfee and her husband Shawn, siblings, William Donald Raney, Cynthia “Gail” Hale and her husband Jimmy, grandchildren, David Jacob Acklin, Josh Belcourt, Joshua Acklin, Joseph Acklin, Austin Acklin, Patrick Logan Tate, Connor Tate, Dylan McAfee, Mallory McAfee and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Wilson Cemetery in Rison.
