Vyda Pearl Mcghee

On August 29, 2022, Vyda Pearl McGhee went to her Heavenly Home, she was born May 23, 1937 to the late Leroy and Vannie Welch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otha Mac McGhee, her son Micheal Eugene McGhee, her daughter Linda Jean McGhee, two brothers, John Welch and Billy Welch and her partner Charlie Heath and Roy Berry.  Pearl was one of the hardest working individuals there was. She was employed at Timex, Kohler, Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Immanuel Baptist Church and as a caregiver. When she retired from Kohler, she put a “Retired” license plate on the front of her car and then went on to work three different jobs at once. Pearl was a remarkable woman!

She is survived by her daughter-in-law (Caregiver) Debbie McGhee, one brother Roy Welch (Joyce), two sisters, Betty Walton, Levern Newton, two sisters-in-law Faye Welch and Kathy Welch, grandchildren Beth Goodwin (Ronnie), Ryan McGhee (Lauren Briggans), and one great-grandson Hayes Michael Goodwin. She is also survived by Bobby and Phyllis Heath and their children Gary Heath, John (Justi) Heath and grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church 206 E. Holly, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
