Virgie R. Tucker

Virgie R. Tucker age 88 of Pine Bluff died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Lincoln Heights Nursing Home in Star City. She was born September 12, 1922 in the Pansy Community in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Barney Rauls and Carrie Hobgood Rauls. Mrs. Tucker was a retired employee of Ben Pearsons; a homemaker, and a member of Bethel Number Two Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston L. Tucker; son, Jerry N. Tucker; grandson, Troy S. Tucker; brothers, Earnest Rauls, Cecil Rauls, J. E. Rauls, Roy Rauls, Johnny Rauls and Larry Rauls.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Rebecca Tucker of Pine Bluff, Gary Tucker of Hot Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Benny Glover, Brenda and Phil Martin, all of Pine Bluff, Becky and Kelly Stewart of Herbine; two brothers, Marvin Rauls of Woodlawn, W. C. Rauls of Warren; four sisters, Jaunice Butler of Cleburn, Texas, Dorothy Hopson of England, Mary Helen Bradley of Warren, Linda Weast of Star City; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Bethel Number Two Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Bobby Neal and Brother Wade Peddy officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are grandsons, Scott Glover, Jeff Glover, Lee Stewart, Chris Martin, Jason Martin, Greg Tucker and Brent Tucker.
