Vieola (Heird) Neal

A. Vieola Heird Neal, age 65, of Alexander passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born September 11, 1944 in Sheridan, a daughter of the late William Voda and Mary Mae Cotton Heird. Mrs. Neal was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the South West Branch Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Mrs. Neal was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Wade Morris; step-mother, Eunice Heird; step-sister, Wanda Plummer.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Ray Neal of Alexander; daughter, Delena Joann Bradford of Alexander; three step-children, Chelcia Ray Neal, Rene Camilla Taylor, and Allen Arthur Neal, all of Alexander; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Brandon Morris, NiCole Sheree Tyler, Anjanette Clark, Eliza Moore, C. J. Standridge, Perry Neal, Phillip Neal, Audrey Neal, Virginia Neal, Savanha Lee, Jessica Culverhouse; seven great grandchildren; Jonathon Morris, Tyler Young, Veronica Tripp, Kalissa Anderson, Christian Clark, David and Nathan Standridge; one sister, Margie Mae Pope of Sheridan; four brothers, Joe Jack Heird of Conway, Charles William Heird of Pine Bluff, John David Heird of Sheridan, Lonnie Lewis Heird of Hot Springs; two step-sisters, Margret Dyres Jones of Sheridan, Vivian Harvey of Shreveport, Louisiana; one step-brother, Marvin Edwin Cotton of Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Rhodes Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are: Bill Branson, David Tooke, Jeff Hager, Tyler Hager, Christopher Morris, and Allan Neal.
