Vernon Ratcliff

Vernon Ratcliff, 62 of Sheridan died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at his home. He was born February 18, 1945 in Kelso, Arkansas, a son of Nettie Lee Drewery Ratcliff and the late Harvey Henderson Ratcliff. Mr. Ratcliff was a retired construction worker. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Autumn Greenwade; sister, Lucille Ratcliff;

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Winston Ratcliff of Sheridan; son, Charles Ratcliff of Sheridan; daughter and son-in-law, Bridgett and Boyett Greenwade of Watson Chapel; mother, Nettie Lee Drewery Ratcliff of Pine Bluff; brothers, J.D. Ratcliff, Darryl Ratcliff, Lloyd Ratcliff , all of Pine Bluff; sisters, Evelyn McCuen of Bakersfield, California, Helen Laughlin of Scottsboro, Alabama, Geneva Allen of Pine Bluff, Mary Folhertf of South Haven, Mississippi, Ruth Elliot of Dumas, Doris Lemons of Dumas, Florence Roberts of Texas, and Dot Herring of Pine Bluff; ten grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Brother Jimmy Earl Brown and Brother David Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Pallbearers are: Darryl Brakebill, Johnny McClure, Harold Wiley, Jay Ratcliff, Thomas Brown, Johnny Ratcliff, Jodie McClure, and Jimmy Earl Brown.
