Vera Kathryn Walls

Vera Kathryn Gaines Walls passed away on February 4, 2024 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born on October 26, 1934 in Griffithville, Arkansas to Willard Gaines and Nadine McDonald Gaines. As a small child she loved taking care of all sorts of animals and riding horses. As an adult, she became a nurse and continued taking care of everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Burl Gaines and Paul Lewis Gaines, and one stepson, Deril E Walls, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Deril E Walls, Sr. one brother Gerald Hugh Gaines (Della), one stepdaughter, Mary Walls, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Sullivan Funeral Care on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with services following at 2:00 p.m. There will be no graveside.
