Vannie Viola Welch

Vannie Viola (Anders) Welch, age 93 of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away October 24, 2012. She was born October 12, 1919 to the late Ambers and Odia Bell (Paterson) Anders. Vannie retired as a lay operator from Sterling Faucets Plumbing Supply after many years of service. After her retirement Vannie took pleasure in care giving for many special people. She also enjoyed to piecing and quilting quilts for her family and friends. Vannie was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church, Sheridan, Arkansas. Vannie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Leroy Welch, and one sister, Mary Reemer. She is survived by three sons, John (Faye) Welch, Roy Nelson (Joyce) Welch, and Billy Edward Welch all of Sheridan, Arkansas; three daughters, Vida Peal (Roy Berry) McGhee, Lavern Newton both of Sheridan, Arkansas and Betty (Teddy) Walton of Round Tree, Arkansas; one brother, W.A. Anders of Prattsville; three sisters, Vernie Mae Downen , Audrey Cooper both of Sheridan, Arkansas and Dorothy Dillbeck of Sherwood, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Buie Funeral Home Sheridan, Arkansas with visitation from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to service with Sister Lisa Henry officiating assisted by Brother Keith Foster. Interment will follow the service at Lost Creek Cemetery, Sheridan, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be her loving grandchildren.
