Troy Cissaro Ratcliff

Troy Cissaro Ratcliff age 85 of the Mt. Carmel Community near Rison, died Monday, December 6, 2010. He was born May 25, 1925 in Dalark, a son of the late John Marshall Ratcliff and Martha Odella Tucker Ratcliff. Mr. Ratcliff was a Seaman 1st Class in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from the University of South East Arkansas, Agriculture Experiment Station. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lorene Ratcliff; one brother; six sisters.

He is survived by three sons, John Ratcliff of Rison, Travis Ratcliff of Sheridan and Gibbs Mays of McGehee; two daughters, Shirley Birchfield of Monticello and Ginger Crane of San Franciso, California; six grandchildren, Leslie McTigrit, Tammy Wilkerson, Todd Mays, Allen Ratcliff, Robert Allen Birchfield and Katherine Green; eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 at Watson Cemetery at Watson, Arkansas with Reverend Ben White officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison, and prior to service time on Friday at the Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wayne Smith, Robert Allen Birchfield, Allen Ratcliff, Dexter McMahan, Jerry McMahan, Anthony Williams and Mark McElory.
