Trever Venoy Spakes, age 65, of Rowell, died, Friday, July 13, 2012. He was born September 16, 1946 in Warren, a son of the late Truman Lamar Spakes and Gladys Ruth Holderfield Spakes of Rowell. Mr. Spakes was a machinist for Central Maloney. He loved hunting, fishing with his brother at Kelly Lake in Garland City, four wheeler riding, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Spakes was a member of Rowell Friendly Hunting Club and the Bass Masters Association. He was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Spakes is survived by his wife, Carolyn Green Spakes of Rowell; mother, Gladys Ruth Spakes of Rowell; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jody and Peggy Spakes of Cabot, Ryan Spakes of Rowell; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Julia Spakes of Garland City; six grandchildren, Travis, Marissa, Maranda Spakes and Noah Spakes, Michael, Lindsey Pickins; nephew, Todd Spakes. Graveside services are 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Rowell Cemetery with Brother Jackie Richardson and Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Visitation is 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mitch Lunsford, Brad Rawls, Wayne Gross, Justin Taylor, Rodney Webb, Greg Jacks, Jason Delk, Phillip Richardson, Clint Richardson and Rusty Moore.
