Travis “Trigger” Norton, 84, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home in Woodlawn, Arkansas. Trigger was born November 9, 1935 to Voy Russell and Lula Mae Norton in Woodlawn, Arkansas.
Trigger served in the U.S. military and was a Korean War Veteran. He met his beautiful bride and wife of almost 60 years, Patsy Nell, and they were later married on April 21, 1960.
In 1958, Trigger began his lifetime career at International Paper Company where he worked there almost 40 years until his retirement.
Apart from work, he enjoyed spending time doing the many things he loved. He had a love for horses and enjoyed camping, skiing and spending time on the water with family whenever he could. He also spent many years coaching and helping his children and grandchildren in youth sports.
Trigger is survived by his wife, Patsy Langford Norton; daughter, Terri Pennington; sons Voy Ray and wife Donna Norton, T.A and Kim Norton; grandchildren, Sidney Norton, Nicci Frazer, Tyler Bell, Trae Norton and Shelbi Russell; sister Marnelle Clement and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Joyce Mullens and Dorothy Wright and brothers, Lloyd Norton and Boy Norton, and his granddaughter Haley Addison.
Graveside services will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery Saturday, February 29th, at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome for fellowship following the services at 9660 HWY 114, Rison, Arkansas 71665.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
