Travis Collins

Travis Lee Collins age 65 of Kingsland, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at his home. He was born May 20, 1942 in Kingsland, a son of Ollie Belle Golden Smith of Kingsland and the late Tillman Collins. Mr. Collins attended Kingsland High School and retired as a self employed building contractor. He was Worshipful Master of Kingsland Masonic Lodge number 430, and was a Past Worshipful Master. Mr. Collins was a thirty second degree Mason and a Shriner. He attended Como Assembly of God in Kingsland. Mr. Collins was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andy Collins and Robbie Collins.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife Paulette Wilder Collins of Kingsland; two sons, Mark Collins and Carlton Collins, both of Kingsland; one daughter Laura Gomez of Blue Springs, Missouri; mother, Ollie Belle Golden Smith of Kingsland; two brothers, Johnny OBanion and Ray Collins, both of Kingsland; one sister Dora Grant of Longview, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at Cross Roads Cemetery in Kingsland with Masonic Rites with Reverend Mark Rivers officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Max Hamilton, Jack Torrence, Fred Wegner, Tyron Cranford, Bob Skaggs, Bubba Golden, and Tony Kilkpratrick.
