Tracy J. Valentine

Tracey J. Valentine age 87 of the Herbine Community near Rison, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home. He was born December 24, 1922, in Cleveland County, a son of the late Charles Vodie Valentine and Della Mae Spakes Valentine. Mr. Valentine was a disabled World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of Overcoming Faith Worship Center in Star City, and a member of the VFW Post 4455 in Pine Bluff. Mr. Valentine was also preceded in death by his wife, Aminell Davis Valentine; son, Timmy Valentine; grandson, Bill Stover; brother, Lewis Valentine, four sisters, Eunice Nichols, Mildred Kimbrell, Ailene Valentine and Ora Valentine.

Mr. Valentine is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Chuck and Brenda Valentine of Woodlawn; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Vonda and Lynn Jarrell of Star City, Judy and Glen Baxter of Pine Bluff, Charlotte and Henry Lunsford of Star City, Brenda and Mack Leopard of Rison, Wanda Gail Collins of Wichita, Kansas, Tammy and Thomas Murphy of Star City, Regina and Barry Huddleston of New Edinburg; one brother, Connie Kimbrell of Rison; two sisters, Mabel Smith of Batesville, Rita Reep of Rye; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Tonya and Clay Nealy, Tadd and Joy Johnson, Todd Lunsford, Michelle and Allen Funderburg, Malena and Jamie Selman, Stacey and J. R. Youngblood, Kayla Valentine, Matthew Owen, Timmy Owen, Shana Huddleston and Sara Huddleston; ten great grandchildren, Chad Nealy, Cassi Nealy, Blaze Johnson, Justin Ray, Ashley Ray, Haylea Lunsford, Austin Lunsford, Remington Selman, Jake Selman and Alexander Henderson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Leopard officiating. Burial will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Tadd Johnson, Todd Lunsford, Matthew Owen, Timmy Owen, Jamie Selman, J. R. Youngblood, Doy Ray and Allen Funderburg. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
