Timothy Jones Billings

Tim Billings 49, of Redfield, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born August 30, 1959 in Pine Bluff to Clifton and Anne Jones Billings Sr. He graduated from Rison High School in 1977. Tim was a member of the Air Force National Guard until he retired. He has been employed the past 5 years with Century Tel.

He is survived by two children, Elizabeth and Miles Billings, both of Rison; father and step-mother, Clifton and Mary Billings Sr. of Rison; mother and step-father, Anne and Bill Guthrie of Mountain View; granddaughter, Laynie Billings of Rison; brother and sister-in-law, Clif and Teresa Billings of Rison; sister and brother-in-law, Gala and Bob Davis of Mountain View.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery near Rison. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Tommy Lawrence, Robert Simmons, Jim Atwood, Randy Hurst, Buddy Boldon, Ronnie Carter, Don Terry and Clay Hamilton. The 189th Civil Engineering Squadron from Little Rock Air Force Base will serve as honorary pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
