Thomas Havis Terry

Thomas Havis Terry age 69 of Rison, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1939 in Cleveland County, a son of the late Virgil A. and Freda Dixon Terry. Mr. Terry was retired from Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center, a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, an avid golfer and Nascar fan. He was also preceded in death by one sister Bonnie Terry Cummings.

Mr. Terry is survived by two sons, Thomas L. Terry of Pine Bluff, Anderson Terry, of Alma; two daughters, Lisa Beck of Pennsylvania, Stepanie Fikes of Pine Bluff; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Dorothy Terry of Delta Junction, Alaska, Bobby L. and Nora Terry of Rison; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Wooley of Woodlawn; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Friendship Cemetery with Brother Jackie Richardson and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
