Thomas Mitchell

Thomas Mitchell, age 71, of Kingsland died Friday, July 7, 2017 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Mitchell was born on August 12, 1945 in Kingsland, to the late T. O. and Florence McMurtrey Mitchell. Thomas was a heavy equipment operator and served in the United States National Guard. He was a member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Mitchell, Bill Mitchell and three sisters, Ruby King, Jeanet Mitchell and Dorothy Weeks.

He is survived by one son, Marks Mitchell and wife, Hannah of Sheridan; two daughters, Tonya Thornton and Melinda Mitchell, both of Warren; brother, Harold Mitchell of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Kathy Harris of Pine Bluff, Linda Jones of Kingsland, Margaret Clemons of Tyler, Texas and four grandchildren.
