Thomas (T. A.) Maroney

Thomas (T. A.) Maroney age 91 of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 22, 2010. He was born October 3, 1918 in Morrilton, a son of the late Thomas Arthur Maroney and Mary Smith Rorie. Mr. Maroney was a mechanic and electrician, having worked for Fox Brothers Lumber Company and retiring from T & N Electric. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist. Mr. Maroney was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bell Maroney, brother, Earl Thomas Maroney.

Mr. Maroney is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Wayne and Janice Maroney of Grady; two daughters and son-in-law, Wanda and James Holland of Pine Bluff, Barbara Ashcraft of Orlando, Florida; four sisters, Sue Nation, Lee Denton, both of Hot Springs, Dora Edmondson of Daingerfield, Texas, Shirley Ingles of Waldron; eight grandchildren, Tracie Byrd, Ritchie Holland, Tina Seiple, Scotty Ashcraft, Anthony Taylor, Clinton Maroney, Jennifer Taylor and Michael Maroney; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Cantwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216
