It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Lynn Newberry, 52, formerly of Greenville, MS, who died unexpectedly on January 11, 2025, at Unity Medical Center, in Searcy, Arkansas. Tammy was born on February 18, 1972 in Mississippi and moved to Griffithville, Arkansas in 2012 with her sister and family. Tammy is preceded in death by both her parents Barbara McCollum and Bill Newberry.
A sweet and compassionate soul, Tammy graduated from O'Bannon High School in 1991. While she never married, Tammy lived life to the fullest enjoying music, WWE Wrestling, and being around family and friends.
Tammy is survived by her eldest sister: Regina Lyles (Bert) and sister Cheryl Rather (Gerald), nephews Brandon Sullivan, Jonathan Sullivan, Landon Steele, Caleb Lyles (Cassie), Carter Lyles, Tristan Lyles (Audrey), and nieces Raegan Lyles (Sean), Reese Sullivan, Jessica Bivens (Michael), Kassidy Bivens, Hollye Watkins (Cody), (son) Jaxon Watkins, Aden Rials, Gabi Tarver.
Known for her happy spirit and fun-loving ways Tammy made everyone laugh, she never met a stranger and just loved people in general. Tammy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.
A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home 111 W. Wilbur D Mills Ave. Kensett, AR 72082.
