Tamara McCoy, 60, of Bauxite, formerly of Searcy, passed away July 22, 2019 at St. Vincent’s CHI in Little Rock. She was born July 21, 1959 at Stuttgart, Germany to the late Andrew and Ursula Kathe Anna Hesse McCoy.
Ms. McCoy was a 1977 graduate of Searcy High School and went on to South Little Rock Vocational School to become a paralegal. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ. Along with her paralegal career, she was a certified firefighter, EMT, worked with the Red Cross and volunteered with OSHA and FEMA. She enjoyed chasing storms and playing music in her past time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tara LeAnne McCoy and son, Joseph Mathis.
She is survived by a daughter, Tawny Anne Mullins (Philip) of Marianna, Florida; three grandchildren, Makayla Anne Mullins, Mariah Nicole Mullins McLendon (Joshua Lee) and Joshua David Mullins (Elizabeth) all of Florida; three great grandchildren, Shailene Joy-Ann McLendon, Hayley Nichole Hathaway, and Dawson Alexzander Mullins; one brother, Peter R. McCoy (Jan) of Wetumpkia, Alabama; as well as two ex-husbands, Carlon Clare of McRay, Arkansas and Arley Mathis (Tammy) of Vilonia.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
