Suzette Koch, 75, of Bald Knob, formerly of California, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 27, 2017 at her sister’s residence following a brief diagnosis of ALS. She was born July 15, 1942 at Englewood, California to the late Vernon and Betty Inez Freeman Koch.
Suzette was raised in the Englewood Children’s Baptist Home and attended Monroe High School in Englewood and was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church at Bald Knob. She was a prayer warrior, always putting others ahead of herself. At one time, she gave up her home to reside in a homeless shelter as a house parent to care for the less fortunate. She often said just as Job suffered, God didn’t ask him to understand or like what was happening, he just asked him to trust in Him. This is the same trust that Suzette had in the Lord during her trial with ALS.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Rasmussen of Orange County, Cal., James Rasmussen (Debi) of Garden Grove, Cal., Rick Tilton of Orange County, Cal., and Joe Tilton of Batesville, Ark,; three daughters, April Broesder and Lisa Ereckson (Scott) both of Bullhead City, Az., and Shauna Tiedge (Dane) of Whittier, Cal.; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; one brother, Terry Koch; and one sister, Cheryl Shaver (Robert) both of Bald Knob as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at Rocky Point Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Fredonia Cemetery in Bald Knob.
