Sue Wilson Brown went to be with our Savior on January 6, 2011 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her children. She was born February 27, 1939 in Rison, to the late Eugene and Willie Bearden Wilson. Mrs. Brown was a 1957 graduate of Rison High School. On her 18th birthday in 1957, she married A. J. Brown, who was enlisted as a United States Marine. During his years of service, they traveled the country together. In 1969, the couple made Rison their home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Brown, to whom she was married for forty eight years.
Mrs. Brown is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Belinda and Steve Winston of Sheridan, Beverly and Wesley Leopard of Rison, Barbie and Eddie Parsley of White Hall, Bethany and Steven Pierce of Russellville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Susan Brown of Bolingbrook, Illinois; two brothers, Thomas Wilson (Mary Jo) of White Hall, Gene Wilson (Teresa) of Rison, and one sister, Barbara Reed of Pine Bluff. She enjoyed her ten grandchildren, Leann King (Maburn), Jared Winston (Katy), Rodney Leopard (Amy), Rusty Leopard (Heather), Brandea Brown, Cory Brown, Maegan Parsley, Charlie Parsley, Tyler Pierce and Isaac Pierce. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, Winston King and Arianna Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Reverend Lance Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
