Steven Wayne Coker, 59, of Bald Knob, previously from Judsonia, passed from this life July 3, 2020 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born to the late Kenneth and Mary Allene Teague Coker January 12, 1961 at Searcy.
Steven was a talented artist with an eye for detail. He could paint creatively and could also draw house plans. When his pen touched the paper, his ideas came to life. Steven loved to create things. He worked with wood, making boxes and woodworks of different types. Steven was known for being a hard worker and for being just a little hardheaded. Steve had a long career in autobody doing some amazing rebuilds. He had a dream of traveling to Alaska and mining for gold. Unfortunately, his health failed him before he was able to live out that dream. Steven was a deep thinker, keeping a journal of his thoughts. His family will be reading through his life’s trials and tribulations. His family and friends are comforted Steven had come to show his love for his family and began to read his Bible daily.
Along with his parents, Ken and Mary, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth David and James Lee Coker; and his sister Lannette Marie Coker.
Steven is survived by his brothers Terry Coker (Ginger) of Searcy and Jerry Coker of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Belinda Sutton (Floyd) of Searcy, Mary Baker (Robert) of Suffolk, Virginia, Rhonda Capps (the late J.C.) of Judsonia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. July 8, 2020 at the Sullivan Memorial Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. The family extends a warm welcome to any and all who knew him.
