Sierra Beth Johnston

March 23, 1991 — December 4, 2020

Searcy

Sierra Beth Johnston, 29, of Searcy passed from this life December 4, 2020 at Little Rock.  She was born March 23, 1991 to John Paul and Stacey Walker Johnston at Central Hospital at Searcy.  Sierra attended Pangburn High School and was enjoying a beautiful relationship with her life companion and sweetheart, Samuel Stephens, and their two children.
Sierra was preceded in death by her father, John Paul Johnston; great grandparents, Jim and Inez Bittle; and her grandfather, Larry E Walker.
In a time of loss such as this, many characteristics come to one’s mind to try and tell the world what a beautiful person your loved one was.  Sierra was a young woman who brought joy to those around her.  She spread her love through baking sweet treats for her family, spending time with her children and loved ones, and giving as much of her sweet spirit as she could to those around her.  She was ingenuously funny and loved music.  Her guilty pleasure was antique hunting with anyone she could drag along with her.
Three years ago, her life changed, and she struggled fiercely to beat her addiction disorder.  She did not want to give in to the power it had over her life and she fought it as long as her body would allow.  She lost touch with the ones she cared so deeply for.   She strived to maintain healthy relationships with her closest family members.  Sometimes addiction won, and she would disappear into the pain and hurt that one suffers through this type of illness.  There were good times and bad times; her family is choosing to celebrate Sierra as the young woman we all knew and loved. Her smiling eyes and beautiful soul will always be with us.
In her death, Sierra Beth can help others to overcome the struggles that cost her and her family the many years of birthdays, holidays, graduations, and so much more. If you or someone you know are struggling with an addiction disorder, please seek help before it is too late.  Help is available, speak with someone today: 800-662-4357.
Sierra is survived by her loving mother, Stacey Michelle Johnston of Searcy; life partner, Samuel Stephens of Searcy; children, Samuel Drayvin Stephens and Khloe Michelle Johnston both of Searcy; sisters, Cynthia Johnston and Penny Johnston; brother, Paul Johnston; grandmother, Barbara Barnes; aunts Kelly Jean Walker, Sarah Walker, and Melissa Ann Scott; uncle, Larry Walker, and many other family and friends that will miss her more than we can ever express.
