Shanon Lee Porterfield, age 48 of Vilonia Arkansas, passed away November 5, 2024. Shanon was born on August 25, 1976 to Larry Gene Hutson and Charlotte Kay Porterfield. Shanon proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was the building supervisor at UAMS Little Rock, he was the Vice President of the Vilonia Softball Booster Club, coached his daughters' softball teams throughout the years and was active in all of their activities, no matter what they were. He was a sports man, he loved watching any kind of sports, was quite the jokester, and was beginning to learn photography. He also loved his music, but his favorite thing to do was watch his daughters play sports and sing/dance with his pride and joy, Princess Rivyy, Shanon had many accomplishments in his life, he was a 2x cancer survivor, widow maker heart attack survivor and heart failure warrior. His family was his everything, Candi his wife of 27 years, his three daughters, their husbands, and precious granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Hutson, and his adopted son Justin Taylor, his beloved brother-in-law, Drew Frolos and mother-in-law Bettye Davis. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Hutson, brother, Kevin Hutson, sister, LeeAnn Johnson, sister, Becky Hutson, brother Larry Hutson, sister Tina Hellums, wife Candi Porterfield, three daughters: Aleighu Humphries and her-husband Ryan, Brianna Pruitt and her husband Dalton, and Andreah (Dita) Porterfield, and his granddaughter, Riverleigh Pruitt. He was also a very proud uncle of 6 amazing nephews and a niece.
Shanon never met a stranger, was a huge dog lover, especially his Labrador, SGT. Jax and his frenchie, Maverick. His loss will be felt forever but with great loss comes great love so his memory will never die. He will be missed dearly by all that loved him but maybe most by his battle buddies Mavy and Max.
Rest now love, your battle on earth is done!
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas.
