Sandy Jean Swanson, 70, of Judsonia, formerly of Kensett, passed away April 4, 2020 at Oakdale Nursing Home. She was born May 28, 1949 at Gravel Hill to the late Charles and Annalen Barnett Baker. Sandy married Clay Swanson on December 4, 1994. He survives.
Along with her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by two brothers; Lonnie and Mitchell Baker and one sister, Loretta Baker Morgan.
Left to morn her loss is a large loving family. She is survived by one brother; Roger Baker; mother in law, Anna Swanson; one sister in law; two brothers in law; 6 nieces; 3 nephews; 5 great nieces; and 3 great nephews.
Sandy was a woman who loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and shooting guns with her family. She was known as the fire ball of the family as well as the woman who had it if you needed it. She kept extra gifts stashed in case of emergencies, which explained her love of shopping. She worked as a bartender and a waitress at the Waffle House and loved to be in service to her customers. She was loved by everyone who met her.
Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Due to COVID19 no public visitation is scheduled.
