Ruth Anne Lacy, 72, of Kensett, passed away March 20, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 26, 1943 at Miami, Florida to the late Clyde and Avriel Ruth McClane Newton.
Mrs. Lacy was a member of Judsonia Church of Christ. She loved Christmas and was a devoted animal advocate. She volunteered for many years at the Paws Inn Animal Shelter and the Lord’s Pantry. She loved her grandchildren dearly, who called her their “Nana”.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Howard Newton.
She married Raymond Lacy January 31, 1965 at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida; he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Christopher Ian Lacy (Betsy) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Scott Ivan Lacy (Nona) of Searcy; daughter, Avriel Laura Lacy-Blackwell (Maurice Brown) of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Nathan, Crystal, Lauren, Keeley, Lura, Kate, Grace, and Gray; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Visiting hours are 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Judsonia Church of Christ. Cremation will follow services.
