Ruby Lee Rodgers

Ruby Lee Rodgers, age 92, of Rison passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. Mrs. Rodgers was born January 17, 1924 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Tera Winston Hale. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School. Mrs. Rodgers and her late husband, Charles T. Rodgers Sr. were owners of Rodgers Grocery Store. She was a member of Lost Creek Baptist Church in Sheridan. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Rodgers Sr.; grandson, Brad Rodgers; brother, Aubrey Dean Hale and five sisters, Bessie Morehead, Doris Hale, Lois Davis, Velma Culliford and Ola Mae Perzigian.

She is survived by her son, Charles T. (Claudia Lynn) Rodgers Jr. of Rison; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynne (Robb) Dedman; granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie Rodgers and three great grandsons, Baker Rodgers, Caleb Dedman and Dylan Dedman.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison with Brother Ike Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Baker Rodgers, Caleb Dedman, Robb Dedman and Jack Rodgers; honorary pallbearers are Dylan Dedman, Jarrod Mosier and Larry Glover.
