Ruby Irene Barnett

Ruby Irene Barnett, age 88, of Kingsland went to be with the Lord Monday, October 19, 2015 at Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills. Mrs. Barnett was born June 25, 1927 in Eudora, a daughter of the late Marvin P. Brown and Mary E. Wilson Brown. She was always loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for her brilliant smile, sweet spirit and comforting prayer. Mrs. Barnett was a faithful, longtime member of Kingsland Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her sons, Larry Collums of Porter, Texas, Horace Collums and Pam of Hemstead, Texas, Tim Collums and Suzanne of Sheridan; daughters, Brenda Hohn and Ted of Rosharon, Texas, Donna Upshaw and Mike of Sheridan, Mary Crain and Burt of Kingsland; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Kingsland Assembly of God Church with Reverend Harry Puterbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Kingsland Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers are Emil Hohn, Steven Hohn, Tommy Collums, Phillip Collums, Nicholas Collums and Thomas Crain. Memorials can be made to Kingsland Assembly of God Church.
