Roy Edward White

Roy Edward White age 71 of Rison, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born December 25, 1936 in Rison, a son of the late Jack and Novella Harris White. Mr. White married Edna Crofford on December 29, 1953 in Greenville, Mississippi. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Mr. White served in the Air Force and was a member of Bay Street Baptist Church. He was an Insurance Adjuster for fifteen years before his retirement in 2003. Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Crofford White on September 4, 2004; two brothers, Alfred White, Thomas White.

Mr. White is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Kandy White of Pine Bluff; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Britt Talent of Rison; one sister, Mary Lou Reed of Rison; one grandson and spouse, Andrew and Christina White of Columbia, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at Buie Chapel in Rison with Brother Jim Tollison and Brother Darrin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Owen Crofford, Larry Williams, Harry Woods, Bobby Woods, Stan Sadler and Jim Crofford.
