Roy Eugene Puckett

Roy Eugene Puckett, Sr., 67, of Pine Bluff, went to heaven, March 7, 2011 due to congestive heart failure. He was born in Cleveland County, on November 28, 1943, a son of the late Russell Puckett and Anna Puckett House of Pine Bluff. Roy attended Watson Chapel High School. He was married to Lynn Henson on January 31, 1969. Roy served in the US Army and retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal after twenty two years of service. Mr. Puckett was a member of Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Roy also enjoyed hunting squirrels, coons, and bargains. Mr. Puckett was also preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Puckett Kolb; grandson: Christopher Frye; step mother: Mary Ellan Puckett; step father: Leo House.

Mr. Puckett is survived by his wife: Lynn Henson Puckett of Pine Bluff; mother: Anna Puckett House of Pine Bluff; four sons and their spouses: Roy Jr. and LaRae Puckett of Hendersonville, Tennessee; George and Ellie Puckett of Ruston, Louisiana; Dr. John and Elizabeth Puckett of Paragould; Bob and Laura Puckett of Jonesboro; daughter: Liza Smith of Lusk, Wyoming; two brothers and their spouses: Jim and Judy Puckett of Norman, Oklahoma; Ron and Verna Puckett of White Hall; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside services are 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Macedonia Cemetery with Brother Ed Cook officiating. Visitation will follow immediately after the service. Pallbearers are Roy Puckett Jr., George Puckett, John Puckett and Bob Puckett. Memorials may be made to Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church, 30th and Orange Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.
