Roy Harris

Roy Harris age 68 of Rison, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his home. He was born April 17, 1941 in Pine Buff, a son of the late Sam and Thelma Jones Harris. Mr. Harris was employed by the Arkansas Highway Department for thirty years before his retirement. He was also preceded in death by brother, Basel Harris.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Ina Clark Harris of Rison; step mother, Dorothy Evans of Pine Bluff; one son, Joe Harris of Fayetteville; one daughter, Carol Francis of West Fork, Arkansas; four brothers, Bobby Harris of Alexander, Sammy Harris of Rison, James Harris of Mayflower, twin brother, Ross Harris of Little Rock; three sisters, Betty Harris of Missouri, Doris Harris and Shirley Harris both of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Zack Harris, Michael Francis, Lee Francis, Lasha Harris, Amanda Green and Angela Poss; eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Bob Long and Brother Bob Foley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
