Rosie Lybrand

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Rosie Lybrand, 80 of Rison went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Born May 20, 1927, in Rison she was the daughter of the late John Benjamin Roberts and Ida Maude Akines Roberts. Mrs. Lybrand was retired from the Cleveland County Nursing Home and was a member of Double Wells Assembly of God, currently attending Kingsland Assembly of God. Mrs. Lybrand was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years, Charles Martin Lybrand and her son, Jerry Martin Lybrand, four brothers, Charles, Doyle, William and Carl Roberts; five sisters, Eunice Payne, Ruthie Turner, Sybil McCann, Ethel Jones, and Agnes Hopper.

She is survived by her daughters Brenda Puterbaugh and husband Harry of Kingsland, Sandy Morrison and husband Nick of Pansy; two sons, Leland Dink Lybrand and wife Lisa of Rison, Charles Randy Lybrand and wife Paige of Mayflower; daughter-in-law, Judee Lybrand of Hardin; one sister, Elvalee Sipes and one brother, Hubert Roberts, both of Rison; three grandchildren, Angelia Crouse and husband, Terry, Sally Wendel and husband Justin, Heath Charles Lybrand; one great grandchild, Seth Crouse, along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Buie Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Pickens, Reverend Lewis Langley and Reverend Harry Puterbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Terry Sipes, Terry Paul, Charles Roberts Jr., Donnie Roberts, Dennis Sipes, John Mark Roberts, Jason Roberts, Teddy Roberts, and G. L. Langford. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Turner, Pete Lybrand, Robert David Lybrand, Jeff Lybrand, Eddie Lybrand, Bruce Lybrand, Wendell Lybrand and Mike Lybrand.
