Rosa Mary Brown

Rosa Mary Brown, age 74, of the Macedonia Community near Rison, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was born November 20, 1938 in Rison, a daughter of the late Kendall and Bessie Gailey Lockhart. Mrs. Brown retired from the Cleveland County Sheriff's office, where she was a radio dispatcher and jailer for many years. She loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Brown, son, Cody Billings; daughter-in-law, Laura Brown; sister, Betty Kemper. Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Randa Billings, James Brown, Ken and Amanda Brown, all of Macedonia; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mike Ward of Bryant; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Martha Lockhart of Rison; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Stephanie, Amy and Camron, Justin, Jeannie, Christopher, Katie, Bradley, Cheyenne, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Jordan and Kendall; seven great grandchildren, Kaila, Aisha, Lily, Kayleigh, Chloe, Adalyn and Hadleigh. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Brother James Wehunt and Brother Johnie Brewster officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, Friday, February 1, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Joe Herrington, Jimmy Herrington, Javi Holst, Tom Rodgers, Ricky Farrer, Stoney Langrell, Josh Acklin and Trey Gerard. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Rodgers, Josh Bolland, Gary Young and Oscar Gerard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 North University, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
