Ronald David Hill

April 27, 1938 — January 21, 2021

Searcy

Ronald Hill, 82, of Searcy entered his eternal home January 21, 2021.  He was born April 27, 1938 to the late Silas David and Miriam Wallace Hammersley Hill at Los Angeles, California.  He married the love of his life on April 29, 1978, Gwen Myers; she survives.  They shared a youthful love and playful days until his passing.  He stole her heart at the early age of 24; he still has it.
Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Slama.
Ronald was the epitome of a family man.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who worked hard to support his family.  If you were his friend, he was a loyal and devoted friend you could always depend on no matter the circumstance.  He was a devout Christian man who was noted for his nearly perfect attendance, even if Gwen was unable to attend, he took the children with him.
During his free time, Ronald enjoyed wood carving and organizing his garage and tools “his” way.  You might not be able to find what you were looking for; however, Ronald knew exactly where it was.  He did not have just one of each tool either, he always had a backup.    He kept everything because, “You never know when you might need something”.
Those left to remember his “Santa Claus” beard are his wife, Gwen; their five sons; four daughters; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

There will be a private burial Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Philadelphia Cemetery.  The family asks you to continue to pray for them during their time of loss.
