Ronald Lee Coble

Ronald Lee Coble, 83, of Searcy, died January 6, 2018 at Searcy Healthcare Nursing Home.  He was born March 16, 1934 near Spencer, Indiana to the late Mamie and Ralph Coble.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Christine Totty Coble; three daughters, Julie (Loyd) Vandagriff, Lori (Rick) Panettieri, and Leah (Craig) Lackie; six grandchildren, Alan and Susan Vandagriff, Daniel, Caleb, Clara, and Calvin Lackie; as well as a sister, Lois Gaston of Greencastle, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Coble.
Ron was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ where he worked for several years with World Bible School.  He was a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary for 17 years and also served on the board of the White River Council of Aging.
He graduated from Harding College and did his graduate work at Butler University.  During his career, Ron managed five food manufacturing plants over a 38 year period.
He was very much a people person, and loved his daughters and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting for morel mushrooms in Indiana in the spring.
The family will have a memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Downtown Church of Christ.  The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Searcy Healthcare for their care and concern.
