Rona Sinclair Dougan

Rona Sinclair Dougan, age 74 of Austin, Arkansas formally of Sheridan, died Sunday, December 18, 2011. Rona was born August 20, 1937 in New Castle, England the daughter of the late James and Jesse (Donaldson) Sinclair. She served in the British Royal Navy in England. Rona married the love of her life, Donald Irwin Dougan in 1970. Rona had a very giving heart especially for the needy and less fortunate. She was employed by Wal-Mart in Sheridan for over twenty years and was a member of The Gathering Church in Cabot, Arkansas. Rona was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Donald Irwin Dougan. Rona is survived by her beloved daughters, Siobhan Carpenter and her husband Perry of Austin, Arkansas and Donna Rice and her husband Gene of Bryant, Arkansas; and her son, Franklin Dougan and his wife Leigh of Sheridan, Arkansas; brother, David Sinclair of Great Britain, U.K.; sister-in-law, Ernie Milner; brother-in-law, Doyce Dougan; grandchildren, Colton Dougan, Erin Dougan, Alex Rice, Sage Carpenter and Lily Carpenter; she is also survived by many other relatives and a host of friends who loved her dearly. An informal gathering with the family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. prior to the Memorial service, which will begin at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the chapel of Buie Funeral Home & Crematory, 1301 S. Rock St., Sheridan, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Childrens Hospital Foundation P.O.
