Roger Cash

Mr. Roger Cash age 65, of the Macedonia Community near Rison, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his home. He was born July 19, 1947 in Rison, a son of Dewey Cash and the late Billie Jean Terry Cash. Mr. Cash retired from the Cleveland County Oil Company as a Truck Driver and was a 1966 graduate of Rison High School. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting and gardening. Mr. Cash loved his family dearly and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Cash was also preceded in death by one brother, James "Jim" Cash. Mr. Cash is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Price Cash of Macedonia, whom he married October 26, 1968; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Dale Cash Jr, and Susan of Macedonia, John Carl Cash and Tracey of Roland; father, Dewey Cash of Macedonia; sister, Donna Cash of Rison; four grandchildren, Jake Edmund Cash of Macedonia, Alexis Cash of Woodlawn, Ava Kay Cash and Bryce Judson Cash, both of Roland. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jackie Richardson and Brother Calvin Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Kenneth Wooley, Scotty Vinson, Tom Brown, Jimmy Shelby, Steve James and Joe Herrington. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Reed and the Rison High School Class of 1966.
